Wedding Friends <3

So, Josh and Mandi, our sweet friends, we've known them for a few years, we'd heard about their long journey to find each other which spans over many years. I won't give away the details but lets say they have both travelled long roads to be together.

Josh comes from an Italian family and has his own band, Mandi is a lady of many skills and is currently training as a police woman. Both live near us and were so thrilled when I offered to capture their wedding day. I'm SO glad I got to do this as it was as beautiful as their love story.

I went to meet Mandi, her mother and bridesmaids at the hotel where they were getting ready. The atmosphere was calm and giggly. There I got to capture the beautiful colours chosen by Mandi for her and her bridesmaids. The bouquets gave an autumn feel with warm colours and original bunches including wheat and dried flowers. The mint green of the bridesmaid dresses perfectly complemented the Brides almost Grecian style dress and up do with simple white flowers in her hair. Mandis' dad's face says it all when he see's her in her dress for the first time. Mum was there to do up the dress and ensure everything looked perfect.

Their colour choices were beautiful, Josh had picked a vibrant blue/green suit and autumnal yellow tie setting of the autumnal tones in the bouquets and button holes. The ceremony was tasteful and the beautiful rooms of Danson house set off their chosen colours perfectly. The reception was full of laughter and tears, many giggles from the bride and groom and they never once took their hands off each other.

Once the ceremony was over, we headed ourtise for some quick group and couple shots and then over to Cobham meadow rooms (where Josh went to nursery incidentally). Which was also decorated personally by Mandi and Josh.

Filled with little personal touches from both sides of their families to honour missing loved ones and to add a little fun to everyone's day. 3 things that came across most strongly from their wedding day; Fun, Music and Love and there was everything from a bouncy castle and gin pimping station to "Nonna's" home made meat ball recipe and a curry dinner to everyone's liking.

We snuck off for another couples shoot in the nearby orchard and public footpath where Josh and Mandi broke out a couple of smoke bombs they wanted to try. We finished with a shot of them at the Kissing gate and headed back to enjoy the party with the evening guests.

Being in the music business, it was only natural that their reception was one huge live concert featuring all of their musician friends performing various songs and a surprise live first dance song which delighted the bride to the point of tears.. It was a truly amazing day and night.

I was so moved to be there, thank you Josh and Mandi for allowing me to capture your beautiful day!
