Michelle & Michaels Cooling Castle Christmas Wedding

December 4th was a beautiful day amid a week of rain. The sun came out for this lovely couple and their special day. I was so excited to finally get a chance to shoot at Cooling Castle Barns. When I heard how close to Christmas it would be, I was twice as thrilled.

I began the day with the ladies getting ready around 12:30. They were getting ready in the beautiful Moat House section of the venue which afford plenty of light for make up and hair and a cosy yet elegant atmosphere of light walls contrasted with exposed beams. Christmas decor was tastefully spread throughout all of the venues interior, lots of natural wood style decor complete with golden lights giving a Christmas lodge feel. Truly beautiful.

The ladies were almost all made up and looking stunning, I took this time to take a few snaps of them getting ready as well as the dress and room overall.

Next I went to spend some time with Michael and his groomsmen and father. We had photos in the pergola outside the reception area. Finally once all the guest were seating for the ceremony, Michelle walked down the aisle and the day was officially underway for everyone.

As vows were exchanged against the christmassy backdrop, smiles and tears were seen throughout the guests. Finally, they sealed their vows with a kiss and I accompanied the newlyweds outside for some couple shots against the gorgeous castle scenery.

Their meal followed in the larger of the reception rooms, the decor took everyones breath away with its twinkling beauty and the huge Christmas tree behind the top table.

Their cake was a simple, yet elegant 3 tier creation topped with sparkling blue roses to match the bridesmaids dresses.

Such a beautiful day, I was so honoured to be a part of this wonderful day. Thanks to the well organised staff at Cooling Castle who assisted me with my shots and who's timing was impeccable. Thanks Michelle and Michael for being so tolerant of me making you do endless poses. Congratulations and I wish you all the best.
